Production Processes

Raw material and pre-slitting production process

RAW MATERIAL

Our processes begin when the alloy steel coil sheet raw materials that we import hot-rolled, pickled and annealed arrive at our factory. Following the chemical and physical tests performed by our Incoming Quality Control department, the raw materials that receive 100% approval are transferred to production.

PRE-SLITTING

Our quality-approved raw materials are combined according to customer orders and slit to widths suitable for our rolling mills and orders. This is the first stage of production, and because its precision affects all subsequent processes, most controls are performed automatically.

Cold rolling and recrystallization process

COLD ROLLING

Our pre-slit raw materials are continuously deformed with a specific cross-section reduction in our reversing cold rolling mills equipped with specially profiled and support rolls. This process provides our materials with the following properties.

  • High dimensional and geometrical precision
  • Improved surface quality
  • Tough materials with high mechanical fatigue resistance
  • Grains oriented parallel to the surface
  • Smaller grain structure after recrystallization
Annealing production line

ANNEALING

In addition to all annealing operations described in the literature, our factory can perform job-specific annealing processes and combined annealing operations on specially produced raw materials. With our developed combined annealing processes, we provide excellent service to customers performing precision cutting.

  • Stress-relief annealing
  • Normalizing annealing
  • Isothermal annealing
  • Softening (spheroidizing) annealing
  • Recrystallization annealing

Combined annealing: Stress-relief annealing + austenitizing through gradual phase transformation + isothermal annealing + obtaining a homogeneous grain structure + spheroidizing + controlled cooling.

Precision slitting and cut-to-length production

PRECISION SLITTING

Our precision slitting lines, operating with core diameters of 406.4mm (16") and 508mm (20"), can wind coils up to an outside diameter of 1397mm (55") and provide service from a width of 7mm (down to a non-standard job-specific width of 5mm) up to our maximum production width. With the capability to produce 34 strips at an average thickness of 1mm, a slitting width of 7mm and a speed of 200 metres per minute, our precision slitting lines supply customers with burr-free and flat raw materials. Job-specific cutting tools allow these lines to operate with high efficiency and precision.

CUT TO LENGTH

With our specially designed and manufactured cut-to-length lines, we can perform surface treatments, including on heat-treated materials, straighten materials to flawless flatness with high precision, produce sheets and package them without manual contact. Our cut-to-length line serves widths up to 500mm and thicknesses from 0.3mm to 6.20mm, meeting our customers' sheet requirements.

Surface treatment and edge forming production

SURFACE TREATMENT

With our special five-station surface treatment line, we can obtain satin and extra-bright surface appearances while also performing flawless degreasing.

EDGE FORMING

Products can be manufactured in the required edge forms by cold forming and/or machining, and customers can be served with jumbo coils.
